Duties often include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising and actively interacting with dogs in social groups.
  • Helping dogs maintain good manners, socially with humans and other dogs.
  • General care of dogs staying overnight for boarding.
  • Making and distributing meals and medications.
  • Cleaning! This includes vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing kennels, maintaining overall cleanliness of kennel rooms, training area and play yards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service!
  • Bathing dogs and restraining for nail trims.
  • Greeting owners and handling dogs during pick up and drop off times.
  • Learning the techniques of Gulf Coast K9 on how to handle all dogs, including dogs receiving training.
  • Observing, documenting and communicating any issues or problems that need to be addressed with team members, management and pet owners.
